Wedding, Vacation, Writing ..... Education????

So, Happy July!!!

First off, many many congratulations to my good friend on becoming a newly married woman!!! Many days of happiness are wished your way! The wedding was beautiful, I got all dressed up and such. We danced and had a good time!

Secondly, vacation this year was something new.  Or rather, a new twist to an old (yet very enjoyable/ fun) activity.  We went to MI to visit my Gram, like normal, but this time my brother and I took our two best friends with us! We made it into a canoeing/ kayaking/ camping trip.  We camped two nights and canoed/ kayaked three days.  We were also able to show them around some of the places that our family usually visits while we were there.  It was so nice to be able to show them what we have been doing every summer since we can remember!

I'm not sure if you know this, but I've been working on a novel since last summer (2010).  I've actually managed to keep up my writing momentum (as it were) and I've just recently celebrated writing my 200th handwritten page this month.  I'm actually very proud of this accomplishment.  If everything continues to progress as it has been, I'll probably have the novel completed by the end of the summer.  This of course means that I can start typing it (a feat that will be very informative as to how many words I have, in fact, written). Then after typing it all up, I hope to do a whole lot of editting, because I will be the first to tell you that during the writing process, I changed my mind on a few details or lost track of some details and character involvement.  What are my goals for the novel? To make it make sense for starters! Then make it the best I can before potentially shipping the manuscript out to the editors to see if they like it.  Who knows what will happen.
Finally, yes.  I know I just graduated.  However, it is starting to seem like a good idea to go to Grad School! I've registered to take the GRE and now I get to study for that.  On top of that, I'm thinking of taking a class or two at the community college near me. Fun classes, of course. I'm going to try to learn some French and then they happen to be offering a history class that covers my favorite periods in history.  So, I figured why not? Western didn't offer the history class I wanted so I might as well take it now for cheaper.  It seems like a decent plan.

Wish me luck!!
